Did anybody watch it? I tried to watch it last night, but my youtube was being to slow. I find this whole thing interesting, but terrifying at the same time listening to people like Perry and Bachman being taken seriously.

I agree. Whether the idiots we send to Sacramento are red or blue scarcely matters. Democracy - it seemed such a good idea at the time.

Ah. The USC.

America has truly been Californicated.

He dropped out several months ago. You really should try to keep up.

OP:
We know from the applause of the crowd that capital punishment is popular with the people attending the debate at the Reagan Library.

I've heard Ron Paul has won a few post debate polls but he is largely ignored by the media. Part of the reason I believe is that they think he has no chance and partially their own ideological differences with him.

^According to the polls posted at Real Clear Politics, Ron Paul is at:

11% in California
6% in Nevada
4% & 5% in South Carolina
9% in Iowa
4% in Florida
7% in Ohio
5% in Michigan

These numbers come from state-wide polls from fairly reputable polling companies. For someone on his third go-round, these numbers are pretty weak tea.

I'm curious what you mean by: 'has won a few post debate polls'.

Pardon. I wasn't clear. I meant polls showing he won the debate.

http://dailybail.com/home/ron-paul-wins-gop-debate-at-reagan-library-major-polls-show.html

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/09/07/7658608-who-do-you-think-won-the-republican-debate-at-the-reagan-library

The margin of victory by someone with far lower polling numbers than the front runner wasn't picked up and reported on as much as one may expect.

Not sure what scares me more: the candidates or the "normal" people in the audience. Some of the audience cheering had me worried that they could voice such horrible views.
