Dried squid....would never have thought that I would one day say this but hey thats what life is about! |
Dried squid is the best. It's a perfect snack food for movies because it's slow eating.
My relatives like to dip it in either pepper paste or mayonnaise. I prefer mayonnaise. |

| Here's something I just noticed today, because I've never bought these before. Have you ever bought those "KicKer" chocolate bars? You know, the ones that are a rip-off of Kit Kat. They've got an interesting slogan stamped on the bar itself. I think they were going for "Tid Bit", but they've put a "t" instead of the "d".... |

Are you also one of those people that freaks out if a can of tuna is opened anywhere in the same house as you? |

I actually like the squid flavored peanut balls.
The choco pies are awesome 'cause they beat the pants off the 'wagon wheels' I used to get in Canada. |

I've had bad luck with hotuk. The makers don't seem to discriminate what oil they use to fry them in. So I get sugary hotuk that tastes like fried vegetables, or whatever else was just cooked on the pan before them. Kinda ruins it. |

You can buy them in summer but they are hard to find. The street stalls sell them mainly in winter because of the cold. Its a warm treat.

| I hate the deep fried hotuk, but you can get the ones made in the cast iron plates- those are fantastic. Not at all greasy, just yummy. |
