As an antidote to the other thread "stories of stingy (cheap) foreigners" (which went on for pages and pages) I thought we could add some stories of some of the more generous among us.
Funnily enough I can't think of anything major.
THere was one guy who gave away an expensive three piece sofa when he was leaving Korea. He didn't even ask a penny for it.
So do we have any stories of generosity from foreigners? |

I have several friends who have been giving away all their belongings (Bikes, chairs, tables and so on) when they leave.
Personally I'm most grateful to the foreigners who organise events such as sports events and other non-drinking activities. Mostly because I know I would be too lazy to do it myself, but I would like to join. I'm sure it's not completely selfless of them since they probably enjoy it and joins themselves too, but would still like to send them a thanks. There are many I would include, but I would especially like to mention one professor who recently passed away who would arrange multiple events weekly, inviting everyone, and was a really be a positive force to everyone around him. |

I know plenty of people who do volunteer work.
I know plenty of people who bring in food for workmates and students.
I know plenty of people who go on weekend trips with students for no pay.
I know plenty of people who host holiday parties, spending a fortune on food.
The list goes on. |

Umm..are you dining with them?
If not, that's more weird than generous imo. |

I would say it's 'interesting' for sure! But pretty cool too. |

Dude, sshhh! You're giving away the best kept secret in the world.
Oh heck, the cat's out of the bag now. Might as well spill it.
Yeah, volunteering will you get you laid faster than if you had a different colored Lamborghini for each day of the week.
I stumbled upon this in university. There was a flyer on the wall in | |
