| i'm thinking about landing in bangkok and spending a nite or two on the way to phnom penh in late january. anyone familiar with the situation in bangkok have any information on whether it'd be a stupid decision or whether it'd be okay by then? |

| You'd be fine if you did it now let alone late in the dry season. My wife is staying in the city and the streets are dry where she is. I have been in touch with other people and even those in flooded areas are safe. The problems a lot of the city is facing are logistical. Bottled water purchases are limited and the delivery and manufacturing infrastructure is affected. But in regards to safety, Suvarnabhumi airport is well-protected and the train and highway into the city is elevated. |
