I've gotta' say - once I switched over to a iMac, iTunes is no longer an issue. I disliked it a lot on my PC, but really enjoy it on my Mac.

Just curious. As someone who has moved from PC to Mac, how is iTunes better than just downloading, dragging and dropping?

Honestly, as a PC user with iTunes, it always felt sort of clunky. It crashed fairly often, and it always gave me the impression it wasn't designed for a PC.

Now that I use it on my Mac, I find that it never* crashes, it's great for storing not only vids - but the info attached to them, and flows nicely with the iDevices I have at home.

I convert XYZ series for my daughter, all of the information is already embedded by an app, and I can easily swap it on and off her iPad whenever she wants to changes shows she's got on it.

Like so many Apple products, it just gives a bit of ease to things. I wouldn't claim anything revolutionary... just a bit smoother.

I completely disagree about itunes...If anything it makes things MORE time consuming and adds more steps to what should be very simple tasks. For example, I own an ipod Touch and have to plug in my ipod to the computer, start itunes on my PC, then download my podcasts onto the computer, then finally I can download to my ipod touch. That's 3-4 STEPS simply to download some podcasts!!! AND IT TAKES A MINIMUM OF 5-10 MINUTES TO DO!!!

On my HTC android phone, I simply start the podcast software and download the podcast directly to my phone via WIFI. ALL DONE IN 2-3 MINS MAX.

Have you tried watching a tv show you download as a torrent on an ipod touch or your tiny 3.5" iphone screen? Make sure it's in an accepted MP4 format because, you're going to have to spend AT LEAST 5-10 minutes converting it if you want to watch it on any apple product.

On an android phone, you can drag and drop and watch that same video instantly on a 4.3" screen. My HTC phone plays MP4, avi, WMV, and even 1080 MKV files instantly!

Many people who own apple stuff jump through hoops to defend their iphones, ipads, macbooks and are quick to bash android...but after using both there's really no reason for me personally even consider using overpriced Apple products again. They're simply not worth it. Just my humble opinion.

1. Wifi Sync with iOS5. No plugging to the computer. Drag and drop from Itunes to your iDevice.

2. AirVideo App. I stream everything to my Iphone from my computer, HD quality, no copying, dragging, dropping, whatever. Just press play.

I think most Android users forget to mention the hundreds of iPhone Apps that make using the phone so much better. Iphone native email sucks? There are a dozen other email apps that rock. Native Iphone Camera App sucks? There are hundreds of Camera Apps that make it rock.

When talking about the Iphone, you can't discount all the Apps that make the phone great to use.

Which email do you have? If you use Gmail, Google just released their Gmail App.

According to research firm Gfk, 84% of iPhone users plan on continuing with the platform while only 60% of Android users feel the same way about their own platform.

You can do the same thing with the iPhone/iPad.

You can do that as well. There are many apps out there that allow you to play in various video formats. The native one only allows for certain formats, but you're not restricted to using it.

So you have to go to your computer, start itunes, download podcasts, THEN you can sync with wifi, THEN you can drag and drop??? Dude that's STILL 3-4 more steps than what it takes android phones to download podcasts.

Your blind faith in Apple is causing you to be irrational now. Laughing
