Unless you have a third party getting it certified for you. My daughter is handling it for me in Vancouver & the consulate told her today they need a notarized scanned copy of my passport photo page. |

that's new. true everywhere or only vancouver?
so, how do you go about having a scanned copy notarized while living overseas? canadian embassy / consulate? |

As far as I know its just Vancouver, which seems to be more finicky than other consulates. Not a major extra hoop. I just scanned my passport & emailed it to my daughter who will print it out & get it notarized in Van & present it when she goes to get my crc stamped.

I agree, ttompatz is extremely helpful and I'm sure a lot of people here appreciate it, as do I.
Thanks for the quote, wedgey, I did notice that, but it doesn't say that for the page for the CBC. I assume it's the same, so it should be okay.
For the CBC, they do require it to be notarized:

schwa mentioned earlier that he needed the CBC notarized since he was doing it with the help of his daughter, but I think everyone has to do it, in Vancouver at least.
The passport photo being notarized thing, that's just if it's through a 3rd party right? I'll be doing this all on my own. |
