Some foreigners are teaching online for extra money these days... Is this still considered illegal work under the E-2 visa?
If not, does anyone here do it or have any recommendations for how to get started?
Thanks! |

If the company is based in Korea and the income is earned in Korea then odds are it is illegale under the E2. |

I suspect (correct me if I'm wrong) that you COULD accept an online teaching gig if you first obtained permission from your employer/immigration. As long as you are working for a company (rather than setting up clients on an individual basis), it wouldn't be that complicated to file the paperwork...right? |

It's probably best to keep your mouth shut.
Not sure if it's legal, but no one is going to die over it. |

Indeed no one will die over this. However, a person could get busted and have to pay a susbstantial fine for not respecting the visa rules of their sponsored work visa. |
