Teachers surveyed in America generally reported high rates of satisfaction with their life. It looks like we picked a good profession. Teaching rocks!

In what country? Korea? Canada? The United States? I assume teaching would be a pretty good gig in all of those countries (depending on your position).

New Zealand.

Though to be fair, most of us enjoyed it. But it does attract some total killjoys.

As does every profession, but yes, many a staffroom are poisonous places.

In the US, 10% of new teachers quit after 1 year, 20% after 3, and 50% quit within 5 years.

From reading this board, I would guess the satisfaction level of teachers in the ROK is somewhere close to Bush's approval rating in his 2nd term.

Very similar in Canada as well.
