Are there any of these in Busan? They have amazing fried chicken. A million times better than Pelican.

If Thunder Chicken gets you excited, I recommend 오복통닭. It costs more but the portions are huge and it's some of the best fried chicken in Busan.

You can find them all over the place. There is one 30m near my house and 3 within 100m. The only problem is that each box is around 2,500 kal. But still, everyone loves thunder chicken.

By the way, is it okay to eat at these chicken places by yourself? I usually eat with friends on the weekends, but sometimes during the week I want to eat at a chicken place or other meat joint.

I figure chicken is fine, you just may feel like a chump.

I've been refused solo service at a restaurant that served gom tang, being told they required a minimum of 2 for service. The sam gae tang place across the street from my previous room had no problem, but soup dishes are the most problematic in my experience.

No problem with the buffet restaurant either, but that probably has a lot to do with the fact that it's across from my school, and the owner waves at me on my way to work every day.

Never, never, never have I been refused solo service at a chicken shack. I don't go unless they serve soju, maybe that matters.

It may not be the best time to quote Paula Deen, but......"It's not that diabetics can't have cake. They just can't have the whole cake". Fried chicken is just fine, as long as you remember that you could......theoretically.....take some of it home for the next day ( or two ).
