I think that the report is apocryphal and it's all about the $$. Shoddy medicine & shoddy reporting. IMHO, Taking a *quality* Omega 3 with DHA & EPA will likely benefit most people. |

Is that what they said?
Wasn't their conclusion that we should eat healthy foods and not take supplements, which may actually prove dangerous? |

The medical & pharmaceudical community mostly want us to take drugs and avoid vitamins and minerals. For them there is no money in the latter. |

What do you think has a bigger profit margin? Asprin or vitamins and minerals? I'm pretty sure the latter... Generic drugs in general are quite affordable and a bargin compared to some of the mutli-vitamins sold out there... |

Cancer drugs and stains are very expensive. I don't deny that vitamins and minerals can be pricey as well. Yet, there seems to be a symbiotic relationship with the Pharmaceudical Industry and the FDA. (Employees have a tendency of going back and forth...along with a crapload of money. Remember to follow the money.)
But, getting back to Omega 3s, some of the studies kind of suck in their methodology:

I personally like Byron Richards take on it. |
