I think that the report is apocryphal and it's all about the $$. Shoddy medicine & shoddy reporting. IMHO, Taking a *quality* Omega 3 with DHA & EPA will likely benefit most people.

Is that what they said?

Wasn't their conclusion that we should eat healthy foods and not take supplements, which may actually prove dangerous?

The medical & pharmaceudical community mostly want us to take drugs and avoid vitamins and minerals. For them there is no money in the latter.

Laughing What do you think has a bigger profit margin? Asprin or vitamins and minerals? I'm pretty sure the latter... Generic drugs in general are quite affordable and a bargin compared to some of the mutli-vitamins sold out there...

Cancer drugs and stains are very expensive. I don't deny that vitamins and minerals can be pricey as well. Yet, there seems to be a symbiotic relationship with the Pharmaceudical Industry and the FDA. (Employees have a tendency of going back and forth...along with a crapload of money. Remember to follow the money.)

But, getting back to Omega 3s, some of the studies kind of suck in their methodology:

I personally like Byron Richards take on it.
