Ive never applied for a uni job. And my job is better than a uni gig so why would I want to work at a uni? I make more money than uni teachers as well. You seem very upset that Im successful and critical of uni gigs. Uni gigs arent the clear cut best jobs in Korea anymore. Ive alreadt explained why so go back and read my posts again I will not teach you reading comprehension for free. Guess youre one of the people that stayed in school for a masters or phd and ended up realizing youre working more than me and making less money. Dont get mad at me for having a great job. Laughing

Good God almighty you are pretentious.

How so? I simply stated uni gigs arent the clear cut best jobs in Korea anymore and backed up my claim with FACTS. Whereas as usual on Daves the "all my uni friends are making 3.0+!!" crowd simply talked out of their arse with no facts to back it up. If someone who is impartial is reading this thread which side are they going to believe? The answer is obvious.

Again: most of them, not all.

Again: are you going to tell us about your amazing job and vacation time, or are you talking out of your ass?

Translation: Yes, I'm unable to use simple grammar and spelling, but now I'll claim that I was trolling you the entire time. You know, because people who can't spell or use grammar are strategic masterminds.

Sure. Hey, IPIC, I've been down this road before. What's going to happen is that you'll eventually be so shamed because you're unarmed in what amounts to a battle of wits that you'll eventually just abandon this board. Pro-tip: guys like you who claim to be above it all, making more money for *fewer* hours, eventually paint themselves into a corner with their lies and run screaming like little girls from this board when they can't reconcile their lies with reality. You fall into this category in a major way.

If you ladies are done arguing about silly things, tell me if i will hate my job in a public school and should go find a hagwon? Is it right in assuming they both have their benefits and either way people who are prone to being negative annoyances (looking at you IPayInCash) will find problems with both?

If it's your first time teaching in Korea, a public school is a safer bet. You may or may not have a good time, but it's a bit more secure than a hagwon. Later on, if you network well, you could find one of the rare great hagwons, or a university job. There are also corporate jobs, but they are *usually* reserved for F-visa holders, though it is possible for E-visa holders to get them.

The only disadvantages I can see with a public school are being put in a rural area or having a horrible relationship with the co-teacher. Takes longer to get your documents and stuff in order, but it's worth saving you the headaches with the secure pay and benefits.

And regardless of which job you take I'll STILL have a better gig than you.

Better try a new angle to attack me with. Maybe one of my board lapdogs can give you something better to work with. Laughing
