Another graffiti artist conjectured, “It is likely that foreigners who used to practice graffiti art are working as English teachers during the day and painting at night.” |
Cheers mate. |

“And we discovered that most of them are from Australia or Canada based on the style of graffiti paintings.”
Is the style really that distinct to be able to identify them as from Australia or Canada? |

So what will be the consequences of this? Will they get put on a travel watch list now by their respective countries? |

I highly doubt there will be arrests, unless the perpetrators literally fall into their laps. And even if that happened, they'd let them go after a few rounds of shared soju.
Probably not a top priority, it's not like they hurt anyone, just an annoyance. Not worth it getting them onto interpol's most wanted list. |

I just don't get graffiti of a used space. An old abandoned factory or wall or something, whatever. But to graffiti something that is in use and someone else's property? What kind of mindset thinks that's okay? No concept of respect for other people's property.
I'm sure they'd be down if someone spray painted a swastika all over their house. Why is it okay for them to do it to others, but wrong for others to do it to them? |

I couldn't agree more. I just don't know how they figure it's Canadians and Australians. I have a slight suspicion that they might be gyopos trying to introduce this aspect of Western "culture" to Korea. Anyway, lock them up whoever they are. |

They obviously have some clue, or think they do, as to identify exactly who these guys were:
Quote: |
It was only after they flew back to their home country on Feb. 7 that the police identified the four Australians with security camera footage. They matched their faces on security footage from the airport and then checked immigration records.
The four men were found to have spent 10 days in Korea - dedicating at least three of those nights to spraypainting Seoul subway cars. |
They know the exact dates of arriving and departing. Maybe they cross referenced cameras or something esle. Regardless, they have left the country. They aren't going to be arrested. |

If they have their names and can prove they did it then I reckon they should ask for financial compensation.
And I'm all for the German graffiti idiots being caned in Singapore. I hope the public embarrassment will stop them doing something so stupid in the future. |
