That's funny!
There is a "black market" store located in Itaewon. Go down the road next to Burger King (not the main Itaewon road). You will find the store about 200-300 yards down the road. Be careful though. It doesn't have a sign. The frame around the window is painted red. |

NO need to go that far... That supermarket in Itaweon across from Burger King (underneath Geckos) used to sell maple syrup back when I shopped there regularly (about a year and a half ago). Try there first!
But be ready, it's pricey...

i've seen maple syrup everywhere....lotte mart, grandmart, hanalo, of course hannam,....i've never had a problem finding. just go to a major department store like lotte, to their basement groceries and they'll have it. |

There are two types of maple syrup, as anyone who lives near sugar woods knows.
There is the touristy export crap, and then the real stuff.
I doubt you can find the real stuff easily. |

thats what i mean. im looking for some nice canadian maple syrup imported from quebec.
theres gotta be a canadian arts and craps and memorabilia store somewhere in seoul that sells that? |

I found some good imported stuff at Hannam market. Pricey...I think it was about 15,000 won for 1/2 a liter.
Better idea is find someone coming in from Canada and ask them to pack you a 1.5 liter jug for 8$. |
