Does anyone have info on how to change won into dollars without using your passport?
Don't want Immigration to know I'm working here. Thanks. |

If you are going to exchange money, a passport or your ARC are required for the transaction. |

The only way would be to do it when you go to the States or have someone do it for you. |

Would they pass this information on to immigration? Would immigration notice? |

The cube is spot on. There are loads of money changers in Itaewon and they dont require a passport. I changed several million won into dollars there and it was no problem.
They also give a better rate than the banks. |

Just curious, but how's life working under the radar? Is it as lucrative as I have heard? |

| ha ha, yeah, i'm a skilled reader like that. Still, I don't think he'd get into trouble showing his passport. |

| The exchange at Gyeongbokgung Palace today was $1=1110 won. I found that to be quite low. I thought prices were near the 1140-1150 range to buy. |
