Ok... so I'm embarrassed to admit that I find this cheesy power ballad someone catchy... its got good hooks.. even though I barely know what its about.

Anyone with better Korean than mine wanna do me a favor and give me the general gist of the song?

Here's an excerpt:

 θ ׳ θ
Ϳٰ ھ
ϰ ˰ڳİ ũ ˰ ȴٰ
дٰ ھ

   ϵ
 ׳ ٸ
  ڴϱ ʴ ڴϱ
ʶ θ ϵ
ڷ Ⱦٲ
ʶ θ ϵ
 ƿ
˰  ڶϱ

Cheers.

younger guy professing love for an older girl
she thinks of him as a younger brother, but it isn't mutual
regardless of what happens he will wait for her.

I'm cute to you like a younger brother, but you're a woman to me

I'll be familiar with you, I don't care what you say
Don't be suprised
It'll just show that you're a young woman.

WTF WAS THAT.

I took some artistic liberty with some of the lyrics, but does this sound right? The last few lines left me scratching my head.

I didn't realise wtf I was translating until I actually started.

Someone more qualified should feel free to correct this translation.

Jeez. :)

jae.

Really? You must have good pipes, no way I could manage the peaks of that song even when hammered.

Thanks all for the translation, kinda had it figured but wasn't 100%... or even 50%.

Too bad the lyrics don't end with him throwing himself off an apart.. then it would be the quintessential Korean Jack-Sarang balad.

The video is pretty interesting. The girl works at a DaBang, and he drives her to a gig in a pool hall on his moped. The gangster types start groping her around, so he goes in there fists blazing (he's a scrawny little guy) and gets the crap kicked out of him. Then when she comes to visit him in the hospital, he kisses her.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the Korean women referring to boyfriends as "oppa" and what not... that's just a little too weird for me. And after having watched "Old Boy", I'm a little freaked out about the Korean incest thing.
