¥��~ in the Hanguk Ilbo again...this time they didn't massacre the article like they did last time around (though they did make it quite a bit shorter).

Basically it's about why the West treats North Korea differently from countries such as Iraq. I remember back in Dec. 2002 when N. Korea said it would withdraw from the NPT and start producing weapons on its own volition there was a cartoon in the newspaper:
On the left side it had uncle Sam jumping on Saddam Hussein - "I don't have any weapons!" "I don't believe you!"
On the right side it had Kim Jong-Il knocking on a big iron door shouting: "I've got lots of weapons!" to which Uncle Sam says: "I don't believe you!"
At the time it seemed unbelievable that the US would invade Iraq when the inspectors had just gone in and N. Korea seemed to be the obvious threat, but then things don't always follow logic.

is that a picture of you in that link? if so you look a lot younger than i always thought of you.

I'm sure this had been asked and answered somewhere but how long have you been studying korean?

I probably come off as being older than I actually am, at least when I'm online. I just turned 25.

Let's see, Korean took me 18 months though I knew Japanese first; without the benefit of that it likely would've taken twice as long (Japanese took me 3 years).

Yes, that's me! Usually I find the ladies �۾� me though whenever I take out a weird book that draws their interest. I remember �۾�ing one of them before because she was doing some Japanese-Korean translation which interested me, but I as a rule don't talk to people unless there's a reason or something I want to know (often just a trumped-up excuse, but still real)...
