OK, I downloaded a .mid file a couple of days ago for a Chritmas production I'm writing and now that's the only sound I can get my computer to produce. No music, no "clicks" when I change web pages, no Windows XP Hello & Goodbye songs... NADA. I can't figure out what got switched off or on or whatever.
Any suggestions? |

| What does the Sound Scheme say on the Sounds tab for Sounds and Audio Devices in the Control Panel? I don't know anything about your problem, but that's the first place I'd look. Switch it back to 'Windows Default'. |

Yeah, I already did that with no result. |

| Are you using the System Restore feature of Windows (XP)? You might try rolling back to the last restore point and see if that helps any. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I fiddled around with it some more and finally worked out the problem.
