I've applied to a really sweet job (that probably has a billion applicants Mad ) on Friday night and I haven't heard anything back yet. When do you guys usually start hearing back from public schools and hagwons?

Thanks!

Usually it is immediately, if not sooner.

They tend to be eager to get a teacher.

Dis you go through a recruiter?

I'm fairly certain that email response times are wildly sporadic depending on the individual. But if they have a lot of emails, expect them to have a short list after the first 20.

If you have their phone number, then I'd be on the horn with them at least, once a day. And I would be re-emailing them every day, with a subject line that stands out.

If you are using a hotmail or yahoo email address, it could be that they never got your application.

Maybe you are demanding too much. What are you looking for?

Have you tried calling them to see if they got your email?

My school always set a specific application period and NEVER answered anyone until the end date. (By then most applicants had moved on.)

You may want to contact the school and ask about that.
