Do you fry the egg in a pan then add it later or just add the raw egg to the boiling water and ramen? Forgive me, I'm not too hot at cooking.

Whisk the egg first in a bowl or cup. Then, yeah, just pour it into the boiling ramen. Try not to stir it too much, once you put it in or you'll break it up too much.

Pour the raw egg into the ramen through a fork and you can get those thin threads.
