What to Wear
Generally, the appropriate attire for career fair attendees is slightly more relaxed than what you'd wear to an actual job interview. In most cases, "business casual" is the norm. If you're unsure of the dress code (particularly for off-campus events), it would be wise to err on the overdressed side-you'll make a better impression if you appear professional. The women are dressed a little casually. There's middle ground between what you'd wear on the weekend, and what you'd wear to an interview. What you'd wear to a job fair should probably be in that middle ground. Trying to look interested might be a good thing too.

Personally, I think that this thread was a waste of time. Come on who really cares what Korean people wear to job fairs? Aren't there more important issues to talk about, Mr. Real Reality? How about the 16 year old girl who was burned on her abdomen and poked in her vagina and anus with "writing utensils" by her classmates? School yard bullying seems to be an issue worth discussing about not what people wear to job fairs!!!

Seoul City's Job Fair Fails to Help Aspirants

"The first two-day offline job fair of foreign businesses in Korea organized by both Seoul City and the Korea Foreign Company Association (FORCA) has once again disappointed many young jobseekers with its lack of preparation...

most companies did not actually provide a specific number of job openings...

"It is basically impossible to decide whether to hire someone here just with on-the-spot job interviews. This kind of event really only advertises participating companies."

Companies such as Walmart Korea refused to conduct simple job interviews with a large number of applicants, asking them to just submit their resumes and cover letters, which went directly into a cardboard box nearby....

Some booths, operated jointly by a few companies offering overseas internship programs, were bustling with young people who wanted the chance to work and study overseas. However, those companies required around 1.5 million won of commission from each applicant while selling flight tickets and months-long mandatory foreign language courses additionally. $$$$

"It��s so disappointing. Some companies told me to just turn in my resume and said they will have job openings sometime in the future. What��s the point of holding this kind of job fair?���� Kim Tae-hyung, 31, a jobseeker said.
