Is there a place to buy traditional goods/crafts in Busan? I need to buy some souvenirs for home. |

I was on a similar mission in Busan yesterday. We checked out Shanghai Street near Busan Station, which is supposed to be a shopping district for tourists, but all we found were a lot of seedy Russian sailors who were leering at my wife, so we didn't stay very long. It looked more like an Itaewon-type place to me, but if you dig around you might find something. |

Not specific to Busan, but sometimes temples have adjoining teahouse/craft emporiums with giftable Korean stuff. |

The main temple attraction there is Beomosa, which has only your cheesy, garden variety gift shop. Nice place to visit, but try somewhere different for shopping. |

I've read that the two biggest shopping areas are Nampo dong and Seomyeon area.....but I want to buy touristy stuff.
What area do you think is best for shopping overall then? |

Try Nampodong. You can find almost everything there if you look long enough in those markets.
Seomyeon is more for department store shopping and such. |

The best place is The Can market part of Nampo-Dong. Can be tricky to find though. It is not nearly as orientated to tourists as Insa-dong however. |
