Anyone got any comical uses of English spotted in Korea?
1: The sign over the main entrance of the Young Plaza in Ulsan (large clothing department for young trendies, part of Lotte Department store) proudly proclaiming;
Sense of Styleless
2: The market stalls in our small village selling tshirts for toddlers that bear a detailed desciption of 'White Rhino the most potent and flavourful smoke from Amsterdam"
I think these are hilarious and Im sure there are countless millions more. |

| I saw a wedding service called "Kranki Wedding Services". A cranky wedding? If you've ever watched anyone plan a wedding, they get pretty cranky. |

| My fav has got to be line 1 subway north of Chungyangni which has the english message "please stand back, you may get on the train when the doors are open" now in itself that is fine but then that would suggest that you can NOT get on the subway when teh doors are closed. Why I need to be told i may get on the train when the doors are open as opposed to when they are closed is rather a mystery to me! |

| I was at Olive & Young and looked down and there was this tissue. It was labelled in english "Vagina wet tissue for the lady". Vagina wet? Do they mean wet tissue for the vagina or do they mean a tissue wet like a vagina? I would have bought it if I was a male without shame. "When you need a truly moist tissue, accept nothing less than a vagina wet tissue..." |

My favorite sign in Ulsan is the street sign that says "ground" with the arrow pointing UP!! Only in Ulsan!! (It's just before the bridge over the TaeHwa river.)
My favorite store names are "Sand and Food" (I'll take the food, please! Hold the sand!) and "Skin Food" both in Cheonan! |

The owner has to know the meaning. I can imagine him giggle every time some ajuma says she loves coming to morning wood.
How about 'Dr. Kwak's Oriental Medicine Clinic'. Couldn't have found a more fitting name for such a clinic. |
