what can I do, I usually get my 8 hours in and am certain I sleep more than my students, so what can be done to make the face look more awake. I am very animated in the classroom, and yet I still get the students coming up and commenting that I look tired.

I was having the same problem.
Drink lots of water, get your greens, eat fruit, and exercise for at least 30 mins a day. It will make a world of difference.

It's exercise. Also, weight gain in western-types often equals more sag under the eyes.

30 minutes of good aerobic-level exercise at least 3 times a week will do wonders.

Are your students adults or kids? Sometimes when we (females in particular I've noticed) feel like saying something negative to a person, the only acceptable way of doing it is to say "Oh, you look so tired today". It's a kinda passive-aggressive thing.

I always noticed that if I wore more makeup, I got the whole "tired" thing a whole lot less.

I was at a trade show last spring, and my female coworker went so far as to ask if I was wearing different makeup that day. "Maybe a bit less..." I replied. She strongly hinted that I should take a break, get a coffee, and maybe put on more eyeliner.

Don't know if you're female or not, but adult sts seemed to love it when I was was wearing enough makeup to go clubbing after class. Thanks, guys....
