|
|
Quick question to anyone who might know:
I have a Mac Powerbook and I'm used to taking it everywhere with me back home, to make use if the wireless airport. Here I seem to get a strong signal in every coffee shop, but for some reason whatever modem I'm accessing doesn't actually let me get online. I haven't seen something like this before, does anyone know what the deal is? |

You're probably accessing a NESpot router. You need to get an account with NESpot to use their connections.
Cheers,

| Seoul is not war chalker heaven. SK and Nespot are the two main wireless services and they require a membership or some kind of point of sale payment (ie at the Starbucks counter). |

COEX is one big, free, hotspot. I've been there a couple of times and just went right online without having to go through Nespot.

| The starbucks in the Jeil/Standard Chartered bank in Jongno has a good open hotspot called "apple" or "apple net" or something. |

| You can access Geckos for free in Itaewon, as has been mentioned, but even better, you can hide up on 2nd floor in Burger King and get a good signal from Gecko's Linksys router, too. |
