I am going to do my first winter camp in Korea soon. My middle school has given me permission, and I have a valid E-2 visa. Do I need to do anything else to be legal? I would much rather ask here than rely on the camp. I worked a summer camp, but my school district sponsored it, so this wasnt a worry. This camp will be run by a hokwan or a uni.
Thanks |

You need to add this second job on to your ARC in order to be legal. To do this, you need to get a contract and other documents from the new employer as well as a permission letter from your current employer and take them all to immigration with a fee (maybe 30,000 won). At immigration you will file a form called Permission to change or modify Status of Sojourn (or something). Your new employer, the camp should help you to get all the required documents together. |

Well... if Immigration decides to check and see if everyone working at your camp is 'legal', you're in deep 'doo doo'. If they don't, you can say - "It's ony illegal if you're caught." |

While we're on the topic, how long is a winter camp visa valid for? Not an add-on to a current visa, but a visa for folks who are out of the country and are coming in for the camp? |
