this was a first for me. yesterday, my taxi driver asked me if i was hu-gin saram. it was amusing(a nice change from the same old russian question), but it really made me realised how ignorant some people really are. i'm of scottish decent. it's pretty hard to get any pastier than i am. has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

What country is Hu-gin? If your pasty, then I'm translucent. Got sick of being told I'm as white as a ghost. A benefit here, but embarrassing on the beach back home. Crying or Very sad

No f-ing way. Now I get why you said you thought he was ignorant. He was serious, I take it? I think I've seen your pic, and you certainly do not look black. Weird...

A little off topic, but not really. I was on a movie board, and some imbecile asked if Sidney Poitier was really white and did he chemically treat his skin to make it look black. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Some people just should not breed.

Maybe he was thinking about Michael Jackson and got the story backwards.

Here's a joke:

A little boy asked his mother whether God was a man or a woman.
"Well, God is both a man and a woman.
The boy then asked whether God was White or Black.
"Well, God is both White and Black."
The boy then asked, "Mommy, is Michael Jackson God?"

LOL!!!

Yeah, I can see his mistake. I know I always get Michael Jackson and Sidney Poitier confused. They're so much alike. The guy is still too stupid to breathe.

I can't argue at all with your conclusion.

I'm wondering if whoever it was was thinking about the book "Black Like Me" where some guy did dye his skin black. I heard later that he got some awful cancer from it and died. Don't know if that part is true or not.

Sometimes people just act like a d!ck when they're shy or self-conscious.

Maybe the guy just had a brain-fart.

i don't understand why you thought hu-gin means as suppose where you are from. hu-gin means out-of-date. if anyone use hu-gin with people that means he/she wanted to say something old fashioned person. it can be your outfit or something else depends on the circumstance you were in with the cab driver.

and also hu-gin can be thrid country if you end hu-gin with gook(country in chinese) but hu-gin saram cannot be person from that third world country.

the best traslation that i can come up with hu-gin saram either you were wearing old fashioned clothes or you have old style ideas.

cheers,
