Ok, that's pretty easy to fix. First of all, do you have the Klite codecs? If no, get them here:
http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/finalbuilds.htm
The standard install should (I'm almost sure ), give you a proggy called directvobsub that load automatically with your subtitles. Look at your taskbar and you should see an icon. It should be an arrow that is "shooting up". Right click this arrow and choose "directvobsub". Then go "main" -> "text settings" -> "font" ... and choose hanguel. If the smil file you downloaded IS hanguel, then it should show up.
Let me know how it goes. |

| Well using Xcaption I now have the neverending story subtitles. My only problem is this comp doesnt show Hanguel so when they're displayed its in gibberish. I'm HOPING that emailing the file to school will fix the problem |
Blunder, I'm not sure why you're not able to see the Korean. What kind of system and OS do you have? My com was bought here, but I'm using an English version of Win XP Pro. If you're using the same, you should be able to get your com to recognize most Korean software/characters by:
In Control Panel, click on regional and language options. On the "Languages" tab, make sure that the East Asian box is checked. You may have to look at the "details" to ensure that your keyboard layout is the way you want it. On the "Advanced" tab, choose "Korean" from the drop-down menu under "Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use:". You may be asked to insert your XP cd so the language packs can be installed. If I sound confused, please share some details of your system and I might be able to help. |
