Because women like to feel that 'someone gets them' before getting them into bed. |

What I mean is that a caring, sensitive guy is more likely to care about his partner's pleasure and put a little effort into it than a callous brute.
And also, I'm not sure what sex is like for men, but I think that for most women... okay I have no idea, but for me, sexual pleasure is partly physical and partly psychological. There's gotta be some kind of connection (personality helps here). |

I think so. Sure some women like being bent into novel positions and having their wetter womanly bits mashed against rock hard male parts and a guy who just knows how to jack hammer them into one of those tightly wound up dimensions superstring types are always yammering on about, but some women like mind sex. For many women, foreplay starts the moment you pick them up at their house.
But I suspect Corporal has a completely different opinion. |

I work hard to stay in shape and I have decently sized muscles. I do honestly think personality is just as important though.
Let's put it this way. I think if a person has self respect for themselves they will try to keep in good shape. Not everyone can have Rock-star good looks (and I certainly don't ) but they can at least make an effort. Making that effort and having that self respect is part of a winning personality for me. So I really think the two are interrelated.
Now if you asked if Rock-star good looks were more important that would be different. Not everyone is lucky enough to be born like Tom Cruise or whoever.
I also wonder, what would you say Korean women in general prefer? The typical Korean man is of a slighter build than most Westerners. Would a Korean woman be interested in big muscles because it is more exotic looking in general? (Not that I haven't seen some "jacked" Korean guys here) Or is personality most important here? Just curious... |

For what reason? Are you looking for a woman here or a woman back in north America?--or for other reasons?
Korean women don't seem to be attracted to he-man muscles that much, but if I were going back home I think I would want to work out.

| I am not particulary looking for a Korean woman. I was just curious what other people think. I like to weighlift and refine my muscle mass because it is fun for me and healthy. I know I certainly get a lot more attention from the ladies in Korea now that I have lost some bodyfat and gained some muscle. This is a happy side effect but not the reason I do it. |

If you're looking to get laid, I'd suggest you work on your personality or your game. There are things you can do.
Its a dirty little secret that men don't do body building with women in mind; they do it for other men. For a lot of people, the bottom line of most male interactions is "Can I take this guy in a fight?" Being the biggest guy in the room gets you respect in some quarters, but not the feminine ones.

Being hot is an important factor in getting laid, I don't dispute that at all. Just I'm more than willing to overlook hottness for the 'machismo' factor. |

You can't have sex with personality.
Okay, I don't subscribe to that outlook. But you have to admit it's funny! |
Totally disagree with this. If sex were all about the mechanics toys would take over the world. The brain is the sexiest organ and its the psychological/interactive element that makes it exciting. ( which can be enhanced by the appeal of someone being physically attractive, of course) |

I think it depends how much muscle mass you have now. Have you really chaged your physique that much?
BTW, love that avatar man. |

Thanks guys. Yeah that Korean boxer is pretty sweet. She can take a round out of me anyday.
As far as bodybuilding goes, I am not improving myself for anyone but myself. I like the challenge and I like being healthier. It is something with quantifiable results. It is my hobby I guess. I have a long way to go but I am making progress everyday.
I just noticed that females of all ages seem to treat me differently now that I have made my lifestyle change. Women smile at me all the time. Women at work treat me different. Women at my gym too. Women actually sit beside me on the subway car now.
I'd say my bodyfat has dropped from 20% to around 13-14% right now. Really though, I don't think it is the extra muscles or improved looks.
I think the biggest factor is self confidence. The most attractive, sexy people are those with self confidence. Confidence is sexy. If I feel good about myself, other people do too. That's just me anyway... |

Who 'gets' me? Heck if I know, but I've got a rule these days, and I'm sticking to it. I've got to a) like and b) respect someone before getting into bed with them. That, sadly, disqualifies some genuine Mr. Goodbars.
There are some people I both like and respect that I couldn't see myself getting into bed with, but it's not for lack of muscles. In some cases, it's overall homeliness, but there are also certain attitudes that are just a turn-off. |
