I have two decent job offers in the Ilsan city area but I'm struggling to find any info on the place. Hoping to move in the next week or two and know no-one so any advice would be great.
Thx |

| We live in Ilsan and love it. It's great. Lots of great places to walk, eat, shop, and close enough to Seoul that a trip in is not a huge deal. There is a walking street with shops and restaurants called LaFesta that has great ribs for a night out. We lived in Seoul last year and much prefer it here. The air is cleaner, there is less sewage smell, and they have cushioned sidewalks! (go planned city!!) |

First off, Ilsan is NOT a city, it's a ward as in Ilsan-gu. It's part of the city of GOYANG, Gyeonggi Province. |

| Yes, Ilsan seemed very nice and clean on the occasions I visited. Has a nice park there with a lake, if memory serves me. It's well over an hour away from downtown Seoul on line 3 however. I'm in northwest Seoul myself and it takes me a good hour to get to Ilsan on the subway. I'd miss proximity to Itaewon and stuff like that personally, but if you don't mind that, I think it'd be a nice place to live. |

I am very familar with Ilsan. Please PM me if you want any info on the schools that have offered you a position.
Overall, Ilsan is an excellent place to live. I enjoyed my two years there and I still visit there frequently to meet with friends. |

No second off, and if that was an attempt at comedy, no wonder you're teaching English in Korea. |
