Welcome to the Death Clock™, the Internet's friendly reminder that life is slipping away... second by second. Like the hourglass of the Net, the Death Clock™ will remind you just how short life is. To view your Death Clock, simply complete the fields in the form and hit the “Check Your Death Clock” button.

So dear Dave's ESL Cafe reader, tell us how soon we should start making arrangements.

Shocked ... Crying or Very sad ... Neutral

So I go and change my recent "pessimism" to my usual state of "optimism" and it shows:

Friday, April 28, 2062

Exclamation a 48 year difference!

the difference quitting smoking will have amounts to little over one year for me. that's good news.

i'm glad i'm not sadistic, or else i'd have less than four years to live.

Friday, August 5, 2039. I guess I can live with that - er...until that. Just shy of my 74th birthday. Interestingly, that's where my dad's sitting now - 73.5. Shocked I think I'll call home.

Really? I missed it if it was done before.

Me:

Saturday, September 6, 2064

I'll be 88 1/2 years old. Dang. I'd always figured I'd die young. Confused

That's what I get for being optimistic. Wink

The algorithm is calculating your life expectancy based on the assumption that you're living in the states. For those of you long-term in Korea make sure you put it on the 'pessimistic' setting.

That sounds about right for the men in my family. I would like to delay it till after October, which is my favorite month. Who do we see about doing that?

2067, but the clock doesn't factor in the fact that I drive on Korean roads.

February 18, 2067 - 6 months short of 102.

Change the mode to sadistic and I've been pushing up the daisies for over two years. Damn birds.
