Found this, really makes me realize just how low my opinion of missionaries is. I can't post the link because the thread would be pulled.

I also saw two suited white missionaries literally annyoing some teenager walking along. THey were surrounding him and he was trying to get away but they followed and one kept going infront of him to block him. Rolling Eyes

Why would the thread get pulled if you posted a link?

Having some stranger talk to you about religion can be annoying, but it's free speech.

Also, you have to understand that when someone tries to talk to you about converting, they believe they are saving your soul. 90% honestly do care about you in some strange, soul-saving way. I simply ignore them, tell them I'm not interested, or if in a good mood, engage them in discussion. I'm happy to live in a country that allows freedom of religion.

Freedom of religion, and to talk about it, but not in a classroom (I wish I could tell you why it would be pulled, but obviously I can't Wink ) where there is no place for it. Also, did you read about the teenager, that is not too far off from assault, and either way is not something that is socially acceptable. Come up to me and ask, but where I like they have the freedom to ask, I also like the freedom to say no and not be harrassed.

And to many missionaries I have met in Asia (I don't know about other, like African ones who are probably better), some are about numbers. I have even heard 2 different conversations where they were bragging about how many converts they had thorugh their career like it was sales!

She attended a Christian College. What do you expect them to do? Not try to convert her? Do you assume she didn't want to be converted and they forced her to? Would you be as upset if a Christian came to Korea and converted to Buddhism or Confuscism?

Ok, I should refine my statement. THese people don't realize it at all. To them Christian just means Western. I guess it is ignorance on their part for not knowing, but I still think it is dishonest. There should never be any catch with education, though there often is.

I'd be fricken happy if more Westerners converted to Buddhism. That's atleast a start in the right direction Wink

Come off it..! Then should i sue every korean that bumps into me and walks in front of me every day??

Its called free speech. If you're not interested, just give a polite "no thankyou" and move on. I really doubt that you saw them standing in his way and blocking his path. Slight exxageration on your part, no?

My guess is that you'd like to see harmless christians locked away for handing leaflets on the street, but you'd welcome muslim beheadings "because its their religion".

He was saying no, or atleast trying to get away. I already said this. There is NO exageration on my part, and I am sure others have seen stuff like that too. It was forceful and intential. I am talking about the number of "sales" or "converts" Fine, let me put it another way, they were braggin about converts like some do "girls" they slept with.

The Koreans don't continue to do it and aren't doing it on purpose trying to stop you.

What I would like to see is all you Christian finally growing up past your stupid tooth fairy and story book, or atleast leave those of us smart enough alone

Is this thread just reason for you use your header to try to be cute in a subjugated round-about way? Other than that, this thread is basically worthless as #@%$ as what you've describe has been going on for years. We need some meat to chew on, brother!
