Anyone know about Seongdong-gu? Found a lot on the surrounding areas, but not seongdong. Is it a lively place with a lot of things to do? Seems central... |

I live in Seongddong-Gu, which is pretty sprawling so I may not know each little bit of it. But it's basically part of Seoul. The neighborhood where I live has all the basic amenities - a few hofs, restaurants (new pizza place just opened a few streets away), an E-mart, an LG Supa, assorted family marts. If you're looking for nightlife like Hongdae or Itaewon or Hyehwa, you'll have to go to those places. But they're all accessible by subway. |

Most of it is pretty pleasant. It's biggest advantage is being centrally located and having fairly good public transportation/road links. |

I agree....lived there for a year. Not a whole lot going on, but less than a $10 cab ride from just about every hopping neighborhood in the city, and most subway lines cut through there, so it's easy to get around. |
