There are already many Turks in Germany. They are doing the jobs the Gerrmans don't want to do.
I don't know how Turkey's admission to the EU will affect the EC because I have not been very interested in it.
I would be interested to hear your opinion.

i also don't know much about turkey as an EU candidate but i think there might be a problem because turkey is an islamistic country and all the current states of EU aren't so this can emerge as a problem.
and another cause for not putting turkey in the EU is because in turkey they still use death penalty and torture like in no (?) other EU state.

but there are also many turks who have a really good job in germany - and besides, they wouldn't be here if they could have a better life and job than in turkey, would they?
so at one side the germans should appreciate more what the foreigners do for the country - on the other hand, the turks have many rights in germany they don't have in turkey so they should also behave adequate.

hm, my opinion is that especially the turks (living in germany) should contain themselves from being too arrogant because it's still germany and not the islamistic turkey so they should be thankful that the germans let them have their own religion and notions. turks should notice that they can't behave in germany (or in any other country except their own) as if they were in turkey.

that's what i wanted to say, i hope you could understand my thoughts! Very Happy

greets

(ps: i only used germany as an example because asterix used it already before)

EU is not fertig

Why should we say that just because of two failed referendums in France and Holland? Anyway EU has more than 20 members.

And I don't really think the reason why French people said non was the EU consitution itself. It's rather the disblief of French people on their own government that failed the referendum. As for Holland, you just can't ignore the French impact if you consider the date the people in Holland voted.

However it's true that Europe has stepped into a very dangerous phrase. After the EU consitution was not ratified in France and Netherand people could smell a really unsatisfying feeling within the Union. Now the unity of Europe is in danger, Germany, France and England as "EU-Troika" really have to do stop quarrelling and do something, before it's too late.

i was shocked after reading this
Quote:
so they should be thankful that the germans let them have their own religion and notions

are we reapting waht was going in spain hundreds years ago?????
when muslims were forced to choose between changing their belief ,or death and torture????
so why all nonsese about freedom of religion and opinions
is freedom to have YOUR opinions ??????????
what is wrong with feeling proud of your beliefs????
Do the turkish citizins practise what you have mentioned?
its the their president and the military institution (which is secular)?
and when the elected government tries to make amendments ,usually finds President's vito waits for!!!!!!!
for me as MKG,i don't turkey to join EU
but when it comes to justice for A EUROPEAN COUNTRY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO JOIN SINCE 1960s
and you about small countries accepted as soon as they request???
it would be no problem if just EU admits that it is a christian club, but they don't claiming to be libral??

i think the holands refused as they didn't support the articles concerning immigrants, and the left parties which is automatically stand against such matter (it is just what i am thinking)

hey, come down please!

i'd really appreciate if you'd read my whole opinion and try to understand it before critizising what i didn't say!

i mean, in which of my sentences did you interprete something like this:

Quote:
when muslims were forced to choose between changing their belief ,or death and torture????

i neither write nor mentioned this in any way!

it's pretty much a fact that some muslims are really narrow-minded and also act as if their religion is the one and only. besides, i'm not religious and i don't care about what other people believe refering religion or anything else, as long as they let me have my own opinion. i do this too.

i said that the turks should notice that they can't behave in germany as if they were in turkey just because the main difference between these two countries is that the one is islamistic and the other is christian! otherwise there wouldn't be much problems.

i'm far away from imposing anyone my opinion! i just said what i thought, nothing else.

Quote:
Do the turkish citizins practise what you have mentioned?

yes, some of them do, otherwise i wouldn't have mentioned it would i?
i don't like generalizing it but that's what i've experienced from some foreigners (not only turks but most).

so please read through all the paragraph and think about it before writing something that's not true!

greets

ps: besides, if you'd mean turky by the "EUROPEAN COUNTRY" you should notice that turkey isn't at all only an european country. it's half on the european continent and half on the asian!

Yes, it is. What does freedom mean where you live?
Anyone in the west can have whatever religion he wants, or no religion at all.
That's the problem with Islam. There is no tolerance for people who don't believe in it, and no tolerance for muslims who wish to change their religion.

thank you, admiral!

Rolling Eyes i'm not counting all the points that are making the European Union because then i'd be here by tomorrow with writing them down!
besides, i didn't think that was in any way a topic here, it was originally about the EU constitution not about it itself.

sorry Wink i'm trying not to write a novel Laughing but sometimes i wanna say so much.. i'd try to make many paragraphes so it would be easier to read through.
greets
