What does it mean? What is the correct spelling of YAKI? (tasting bad.)

I have no idea, BMO... But Yak-Me is different enough from yucky (which is slang for something that tastes bad) that I doubt that is what was meant. Coudl it have been yak meat? I wonder how that tastes. And I don't know if poor is meant as the opposite of rich or of good.

Also, I think some (maybe most) would spell it as yuckie.

Could yak-me be yuk-me or yuck-me? As poor as a bowl of yak-me is saying you are very poor, since bad soup must be cheap. (The soup that make me say yuck.)

Your overall interpretation may very well be correct, BMO, but I'm not so sure about yuck-me. I don't understand why -me would need to be tacked onto yuck.
