what does ct mean in the following sentence?

ROTELLA'S HAMBURGER BUNS 8 CT. $2.09

is it a kind of measurement?
with what other food types is ct. used with?

I'm not sure what the ct stands for, possibly count.

It means there are 8 hamburger buns in the package. You may also see the same reference to individually wrapped cheese slices.

Notice the first link (if it's still the same) is for Crayola Neon Twistables-8 ct. There are eight of the pens in a box.
